Abstract

The significant role of border disputes in destabilizing international relations among many African countries cannot be overlooked. These countries have inherited a colonial legacy in this regard. Algeria, by virtue of its geographical location and diplomatic weight after its historic revolution, has played an important role in settling many of the continent’s border disputes. This research attempts to monitor and evaluate the efforts of Algerian diplomacy. It delves into the most significant border disputes known to the countries of the continent. It also discusses the most important diplomatic means adopted by Algerian diplomacy and the extent of its success in achieving security in the African continent.

Le rôle significatif des litiges frontaliers dans la déstabilisation des relations internationales entre de nombreux pays africains ne peut être négligé. Ces pays ont hérité d'un legs colonial à cet égard. L'Algérie, en raison de sa position géographique et de son poids diplomatique après sa révolution historique, a joué un rôle important dans le règlement de nombreux litiges frontaliers sur le continent. Cette recherche tente de surveiller et d'évaluer les efforts de la diplomatie algérienne. Elle explore les litiges frontaliers les plus significatifs connus des pays du continent. Elle discute également des moyens diplomatiques les plus importants adoptés par la diplomatie algérienne et de l'étendue de son succès dans la réalisation de la sécurité sur le continent africain.

لا يمكن التغاضي عن الدور الهام للنزاعات الحدودية في زعزعة العلاقات الدولية بين العديد من الدول الإفريقية. هذه الدول ورثت إرثاً استعمارياً في هذا الصدد. لعبت الجزائر، بفضل موقعها الجغرافي وثقلها الدبلوماسي بعد ثورتها التاريخية، دوراً مهماً في تسوية العديد من النزاعات الحدودية في القارة. تحاول هذه الدراسة مراقبة وتقييم جهود الدبلوماسية الجزائرية وأهم النزاعات الحدودية التي تعرفها دول القارة. كما تناقش أهم الوسائل الدبلوماسية التي اعتمدتها الدبلوماسية الجزائرية ومدى نجاحها في تحقيق الأمن في القارة الإفريقية.
