Abstract

This study aims to reveal the relationship of occupational stress and driving behavior among bus drivers. In order to achieve the desired objective; this study is based on correlative descriptive method as it fits the nature of the study we intend to accomplish. The study was conducted on a sample of 32 bus drivers who were selected randomly from all travel agencies at the level of state of EL OUED; Algeria. The study uses two measures: the first is a measure of symptoms of stress and occupational health to Davis and Al. (1997) translated to Arabic by Ali Asker (2000) and the second is based on Zaabta Sirine Hajer's questionnaire to driving behavior. In order to verify the hypotheses of the study; there was a use of the following statistical methods with the application of the system of SPSS: -Pearson correlation coefficient. - Analysis of variance test. The study achieved the following results:

First; the existence of a negative correlation between occupational pressure and health driving behavior among bus drivers. Second; there were statistically significant differences between the bus drivers' health driving behavior due to the variable of educational level. Third; there are no statistically significant differences between bus drivers' health driving behavior due to the variable of experience.
