The shunt active power filter represents a modern and efficient solution for the mitigation of electrical current disturbances. It is connected in parallel with the loads producing harmonics. The aim of our work is study and control of the shunt active power filter based on a three level neutral point clamped inverter ; controlled by the space vector modulation. To identify the harmonic currents, the instantaneous power method has been used. In order to improve the performance of shunt active power filter, we applied the backstepping control to regulate the DC bus voltage and currents injected into the network. This control method has proven its effectiveness in terms of reducing the harmonic distortion of grid current, good control of grid currents and the DC voltage, and operating at unity power factor. |
