The present work focuses on the study of the effect of toxicity on the acetylcholinesterase activity and on some physiological parameters in male and female of S. gregaria breeded in laboratory and exposed to essential oils leaves of Colocynthis vulgaris (L). The manifestations of general intolerance to this extract appear between 30 to 60 minutes after the exposure of the insect. The acetylcholinesterase activity shows a decrease compared to individuals of the control group, it is of 8.08±2.65 nanomole/mn/ml for males and 16.34±1.15 nanomole/mn/ml for females of S. gregaria treated with essential oils of Colocynthis vulgaris. For the lots of treated individuals, the protein level reveals a difference between females and males. It increase in male individuals, reaching 46.11±16.17 μg of proteins / ml while it is 35±13.22 μg of proteins / ml in female individuals. However, the acetylcholinesterase specific activity for treated individuals decreases in males (0.19±0.04 nanomole /mn/ mg), but it appears stable for treated females with 0.49±0.26 nanomole /mn / mg. Similarly, S. gregaria individuals exposed to the leaf extract of crude oil reveal disruptions at the level of neurochemical and behavioral responses, showing a greater toxicity of the Colocynthis vulgaris (L) extracten_US
