Abstract: It was in April 2011 that are felt the beginnings of spring Algerian audiovisual. In the midst of the Arab revolutions, President Abdelaziz Bouteflika wants to defuse social tensions with a speech where he promises abundant reforms, suggesting the opening of broadcasting to the private sector. Several private television channels are born, but moving in the semi-secret, subject to temporary authorizations, in the absence of the audiovisual regulatory authority with all its components. Some channels have exceeded the red lines away from any ethical or moral, according to authorities. They were totally closed, others were warned. But many of them have won in hearing, despite their temporary and precarious situations, in addition to the limitations on freedom of expression. Which left observers admit that anarchy and opacity dominate the Algerian media landscape.
