Abstract

The Arab- muslim civilization has known and experienced many representive forms , the sad processions of Ashura , the popular counter and the shadow theater. However, these forms did not include the components of a piece of theater that we know and that were known and designed by Wester creators and precursors . This art was unknown in the Arabic culture until the second half of the 19th century.
