As part of a pilot project to integrate Saharan fish farming to agriculture, we conducted experiments which consist on one hand in monitoring fish growth, previously introduced into irrigation ponds and on the other hand, compare agricultural yields from fish water-irrigated plots those from plots directly irrigated by borehole water. The positive results obtained from this study show that the Algerian desert has a great potential and seems to be suitable for practicing this new activity.en_US
