Abstract

The language can be a means which conveys sociolinguistic representations. It can play an important role in the transmission of knowledge and the recognition of the legitimate language .The language doesn’t only the learned knowledge (representations related to this language corpus), but also the non learned knowledge (representations related to sociopolitic , economic and cultural values).This mean that we think whatever the instruments and the objectives of every action on languages and their status , the role of the speaker 's sociolinguistic representations is vital in the sense that it determines the attitudes, the discourse (speech) and guides certain social behaviours especially the linguistic practices. The speaker’s sociolinguistic representations can bluntly turn the compass in the other sense; because the image the speaker has about a given language can be defined: The conceptions that speakers or a group of speakers have about its role, its value, its function, and which, even if they are often unconscious, are never the less the origin may be of behaviours, and which, even if they are often unconscious, are never the less the origin of the behaviors as Taleb-Ibrahimi said
