Abstract

This study aimedto revealthe reality ofthe need Academic Advising to the first year students of the trunk of a joint,The sampleconsisted of (146) students, university ofBatna, Of them(65)were male and (81)were femaleSelectedincidentally, for the academic year2014/2015. Researcheradoptedthedescriptive approach,to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher the need tobuildacademic guidancequestionnaire after making sure of the sincerity and persistence,thecollected dataanalysis relyingonPearsoncorrelation coefficient, and extraction ofaverages, standard deviations, and T-test to seedifferences, besides the use of the program of statistical packages for Social Sciences (SPSS), the results showed the first year students of the trunk of a common need to Academic Advising(psychological needs, schoolneeds, social needs) respectively.the results alsoshowed there are significant differences in the need for Academic Guidancedepending on the variable sexandfemalesinfavor ofthe psychological andacademicneedsand in favor ofmales in thesocial needs, in light ofthe search results and conclusionswere recommendedrangeofactions that will guiding and directing first-year university student.
