Abstract: Le monde génère de plus en plus de déchets, les hôpitaux et les centres de santé ne font pas exception. Les déchets générés par ces établissements constituent un problème sanitaire et environnemental dont la gestion est complexe. Notre étude, consiste à identifier et quantifier les déchets hospitaliers solides produits au niveau de trois établissements de santé dans la région d'Ouargla, ainsi de suivi leurs système gestion. Nos résultats ont révélé que, les trois établissements produisent les DAOM et les déchets dangereux, cette dernière divisée en quatre catégories différente (les DASRI mous, les PCT, les DRCT, et les déchets radioactifs). La production totale des déchets au niveau de l'hôpital Mohammed Boudiaf (56215kg) est plus importante que celle au niveau de l'hôpital ophtalmologique (6896kg). La production des DAOM est supérieure à celle des déchets dangereux au niveau des deux hôpitaux. le système de gestion des déchets adopté est conforme à la législation algérienne
The world generates waste continuously, hospitals and health centers make no exception. The generated waste by these buildings consists of a health and environmental problem with a complex management. Our study, aims at identifying and quantifying the solid hospitalian waste produced in three buildings of health in the region of Ouargla, inaddition to the following of their management system. Our results revieled that, the three buildings produce the household garbage waste and the dangerous waste, this latter is divided into four different categories (the soft waste with infection risk, the spine, cutting and sharp, the waste with a toxic and chemical risk, and the radiactive waste). The total production of waste in Mohammed Boudiaf Hospital (56215kg) is more important than the one of the ophthalmological hospital (6896kg). The production of household garbage waste is superior to that of dangerous waste at the level of both hospitals. All the categories of the waste are produced in three buildings with different frequencies, except for the radioactive wastes which are only produced in Mohammed Boudiaf Hospital. The adopted management system conforms to the Algerian legislation
