Customary informal groups and their role in the formation of social identity subset of students within the university community .case study for a sample of university students.

Abstract

The presence of young people within the informal group or in other subsidiary groups, affects their lives, it affects values of young people and their convictions, and determines their moralss, and influences their trends through friction and vulnerable comrades and colleagues in these groups, though this has happened to it from the perspective of sociological studies and anthropological is an indication of low efficiency of social organizations formal and confined to their role and the lack of influence in the formation of personalities of young people, such as the family and the school, and is noticeable in our Algerian society nowadays is that these official institutions through the results of some researches may become unable to broadcast the values of proper socialization, and work to educate young people . We seek through this paper to study the phenomenon of informal customary groups within the university community, and how their presence affects young undergraduates to form and constitute their identities, we have been developing a set of indicators to highlight the determinants and foundations which are formed which is structured group or customary organization, and the prevalence of these groups among college students, and what are the main roles and functions performed by the customary groups deployed in the study population, has been relying on the analysis of both types of quantitative and qualitative data collected from field.
