Any company, be it of service or industrial, needs to do a planning of production over different horizons, from the long term to the short term that translates the implementation of the production process. So there is transition from a global production plan to a detailed plan where we find a complete schedule of tasks and production resources within the production units; which is known as scheduling of production operations. In this article, we try to highlight the role of scheduling to achieve optimal use of production facilities and thus the efficient use of resources, based on different types of scheduling through an application on industrial productionen_US
