The complex relations between international openness, technology and the strategies of firms, lead us to deal in this article with our problematic around these questions: How does international openness inspire firms to innovate and create technology? How do trade flows and FDI flows contribute to this transfer? Our work aims to analyze the impact of FDI spillovers and international openness on the productive structure of Algerian manufacturing industries. Thus, we will present estimates of the effects of FDI inflows on total factor productivity of domestic firms using panel econometrics. These results show that Algeria has not been able to value the potential theoretical benefits of economic openness on employment and labor productivityen_US
