Abstract: This article presents the results of a survey of a sample of women starting business at the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou. The results show that it is possible to develop a profile based on factors such as age, education level, motivations, etc. In fact, women with good levels of training and create businesses to essentially work in their areas of expertise. However, despite their good will to undertake, they are slowed or because of their own personal characteristics (sharp risk aversion, lack of experience, etc.) or due to factors related to the environment Algerian business.
