This study aims to analyze the evolution of spending of the health sector in Algeria during the period (2014-2000). This was done by making a diagnosis of the state's efforts to strengthen the health sector through public expenditure policy, in the light of the colossal resources devoted to this sector within the framework of the programs Of the period (2001 to 2014). The results show that health spending increases year by year and from one development program to another, reflecting the state's intention to improve health status and level of care. Nevertheless, the results achieved are insufficient in relation to the allocated expenditure and Algeria still occupies the last positions in terms of level and health system compared with countries that have the same characteristics.en_US
