The present research deals with the terminological thinking and its origins in the research works of traditional and contemporary Arab scholars. Also, it postulates that the Arabic linguistic thought has undertaken since the fourth century (hidjeri) up to the modern times to revitalize terminology making, and create a theoretical framework that allows for touching upon the most important issues of terminology and the linguistic and lexicographical theories which reflect the attention the Arab scholars gave to the science of terminology. In addition to that, it is noteworthy that the linguistic communities and their scholars share the burden to improve and advance this domain as well as finding appropriate solutions to some of its problematic issues through their valuable research works.en_US
