Abstract: The Individual since his endeavor tries to secure his needs and the needs of his family of risks whether natural risks such as old-age or due to illness or work-related injuries, these factors considered as a result of the loss of a source of income. Both, the UAE and Jordanian legislators have sought to prevent social risks and to secure a decent life for their citizens. Also, the Jordanian legislator went further than that, where he provided social protection to all of its citizens and the residents in Jordan. The main concern of the study is to discuss the provisions in both laws; the UAE and the Jordanian in terms of the individuals and the subject, the study also will discuss the concept of social insurance, and its categories that are subject to the law such as the disability, death, unemployment, and injuries. The main concern in this study is to shed light on the conditions of the pension in the private sector without going into the provisions of the social security Insurance in the public sector. The importance of this study also is to clarify the role of the legislations, the adequacy and effectiveness of individual social security insurance. In specific, this study is based on the comparative analytical method between the UAE and the Jordanian law, and the aim is to show the strengths and weaknesses in both laws, and through the extrapolation of the texts of both the UAE Federal Law No. (7) Year 1999 for Pension and Social Security and the Jordanian Social Security Law No. (1) Year 2014 and its regulations. The study also suggested several recommendations, including: the UAE should move towards including foreigners residing in the UAE in a specific law for social security in the governmental and private sectors, also to invite the Jordanian legislator to not apply the exception relating to the inclusion of domestic workers to the provisions of the Social Security Law.
