Abstract

Cultural reading tries to look at the literary text through its historical and cultural contexts, considering it as a cultural incident which summarises concepts, behaviours and practices which accompanied the creative journey of the text; and which witnessed the era of the creative writer using a language with tricky graphic images that never target one meaning. However, the interpretation of the meanings of these images and the guiding of their significance is dependent on the reader’s consciousness and the cultural extensions of the text, transferring the receiver’s interest from the aesthetic values of the text to considering it as a shocking cultural speech which comprises unexpected meanings and significance.
