dc.description.abstractThe estimation of sediment transport has aroused our interest in this work, because they are a liability to the conservation of the ecological environment and protection of hydraulic structures against siltation sediments. The adopted methodology consists to establish a regressive model being able to explain the relation water discharge-sediment discharge, and the exponential model represents a good correlation in our work. And finally, the mean annual suspended sediment load in the catchment area of the plain of Sidi Bel Abbès is in order to 114452 tonnes which represents specific suspended sediment yield that is about 38 t km-2 yr-1, and that will be considered source of the silting of the Sarno dam.en_US
