Abstract: It’s very important to identify the artistic and literary relationship between the poet and his customs and traditional background, so that we understand further the tied bond between this and what we know as pastiche in poetry and the property of Intertextuality in literature. We consider that the first shed lights the traditional background of the poet and the way he deals with his own customs, while the later is considered as the literary tool by which the composition of poetry becomes possible in order to represent the close relationship between the poet and his background. This can be shown in the world of literature through the use of some artistic literary techniques in his poetry. Since we realized that pastiche is one of the most important tools that are clearly shown the praise of the prophet, it leads us then to search after this tool in the Algerian praise of the prophet in olden days more precisely in the seventh year in Islamic history where the religious praises had taken part so widely. Those religious praises where in fact a direct and clear imitation (pastiche) to those praises that had existed before either directed to the Easterners or the Andalusians or even to both of them at once. Concerning the property of intertextuality, we find that it represents an artistic plan that forms the base on which poets show their proper way to imitate other poets that they had admired and were affected by. To conclude with, since the imitator poet is an affected admirer in the first place, he expressed his appreciation to the imitated work through pastiche. It shows that the imitating poet is the reader himself which lead us to search on his way in receiving pastiche work in return.
