The integration of distributed generation (GD) units provides potential benefits to conventional distribution systems. The location of DGE units should be carefully determined by taking into account the different incentives for planning. This paper presents a study and simulation for the optimal choice of location of GED in the distribution network, this choice is made by two methods: voltage sensitivity index (VSI) and minimization of active losses. The main contribution of the dissertation is (1) to find the location of the GEDs according to two previous methods, (2) to propose a standardized weight method for the localization of GED, (3) to make a comparison between a GED Of unit power factor and a GED of 0.9 power factors behind. The simulations are carried out on IEEE tested distribution networks (12, 33 and 69 bus). | en_US |
