Abstract

This research attempts ,through a field study, to explore the aspects of linguistic influence of the satellite channels upon the forum either by means of news bar which is the least linguistically influenced and development of the silent reading skills , or through listening and watching a set of channels have been intentionally selected to learn about how linguistically influential they are upon the forum for certain factors related to these channels, as well as the high rate of viewers due to political and military conditions the Arab region has witnessed during the recent decade. A sample of ( 300 ) viewers has been examined including ( 180 ) , and ( 120 ) male and female viewers respectively selected randomly from among viewers in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Malaysia, and Algeria
