Abstract: This study aimed to identify the impact of emotional intelligence on achievement motivation among a sample of students of second year high school in Laghouat.The reaching study sample are (160) students. The results of this study are: the existence of differences between males and females in achievement motivation (dimensions and total score) function statistically at 0.01 in the sense of responsibility and also in the pursuit of excellence and ambition and perseverance and not statistically significant in feeling of the importance of time and planning for the future, and statistically significant in the motivation for achievement. And theexistence of differences between males and females in emotional intelligence (dimensions and total score) are statistically significant in empathy and Non-significant differences for the other dimensions and the total score. And theexistence of differences in the dimensions of achievement motivation in favor receive high emotional intelligence in all dimensions and the total score.
