Abstract: The present study is aiming at identifying and exploring the role played by school information in enhancing the secondary school pupils choice of their stream according to pupils views. The researcher adopted the descriptive-explortive method. The survey consisted of 130 pupils in first year secondary school regardless the gender and the stream in some of ouargla secondary schools. The researcher adopted the questionnaire as a tool for data collection and the percentage sa a statistic choice in order to analyze the data. The following results were obtained. - The school information has a weak and unclear role in urging pupils to auto inform and look stream matter-related. - The school information plays an acceptable clear role in helping pupils to assess their level and potentials which enable them to choose a given stream. - The school information plays an acceptable clear role in helping pupils to know their careers according to the streams they may choose. In brief the results though positive in the direct use of the school information are still weak in parctice the education consultants still lack the pedagogical plans that enable them to fully fulfill their duties and keep them always updated.
