dc.description.abstractThe present study aim is to find out the most predominant thinking styles according to the theory of Sternberg`s mental self-government, among 281 gifted students in Ouargla secondary schools. Sternberg & Wagner (1991) thinking styles measure are used, translated into arab language by Mohamed Abu Hashim (2007) . Statistical analysis as percentages and “T” test to study the differences between the intermediate variables are calculated. Data analysis revealed that: - the legislative thinking style is the most prevalent among gifted students, -no statistically significant differences between the average scores of male and female students in all thinking styles except in (royal and external ), -no statistically significant differences between the scientific and literary students in all thinking styles except in ( judgmental and internal),en_US
