Abstract: The ballet Scheherazade has always been regarded as one of most renowned artistic and musical works in the world. Owing its origin to a fictional narrative prose, Scheherazade has become a real success and performed in various versions. Its popularity put the Arabian nights in the background for the benefit of Rimsky Korsakov, a russian composer, who adapted it into a dramatic work. The present study is an attempt to tackle such issue prevailing in a great number of musical masterpieces that rely on literary works. It aims at depicting their openness and celebrity from immemorial time in terms of convergent and divergent viewpoints as well as balancing the aesthetic transition from words to aria.
