Abstract: de l'étude: Pollution is a global problem that does not respect the geographical and political boundaries, because it is moving through water and air. The pollution of the marine environment ( Floating danger ) is one of the most important and dangerous problems facing humanity, because the sea covers most of the Earth's surface and is a natural unit covering about three quarters of the surface (71%), making the damage caused by its pollution a global damage. Oil comes at the forefront of marine environmental pollutants; as a result of exploration, extraction, refining and transport, which sometimes end in real disasters, due to marine accidents involving giant oil tankers. This article explains the serious effects of pollution of the marine environment on oil, and describes the methods and mechanisms adopted to eliminate it and reduce its seriousness, in addition to the definition of legal systems adopted globally to compensate for the damage caused by this kind of pollution.
