Abstract

تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على طبيعة الأخلاق البراغماتية عند الفيلسوف الأمريكي جون ديوي الذي جعل من الأخلاق أداة لتحقيق النجاح في الحياة العملية ويظهر ذلك جليا من خلال تعريف الأخلاق كوسيلة أو أداة عوضا عن تعريفها كغاية في حذ ذاتها مثلما هو عليه في تاريخ الفلسفة، وعلى هذا النحو، وضح ديوي نظرية القيمة من مختلف أبعادها البراغماتية إعتمادا على طبيعة البشرية التي تنشد المنفعة واللذة وتنفر من الضرر والألم ولذلك نجد فلسفة التربية عند ديوي بمثابة تطبيق عملي أداتي للأخلاق
