Abstract: The present study focused on the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of fungal biomass in soils of the Ouargla region. So we compared this density at the three types of soils; salty, gypsum and limestone. Soil samples were subjected to microbiological analyzes alongside physicochemical analyzes according to the appropriate international methods. The results showed that the fungal density is higher in salty soil compared to gypsum and limestone soils. Qualitatively, all the soils studied contain various fungal species namely: Rhizoctonia sp, Penicillium sp, Mycelia Sterilia, Aspergillus fumigatus as well as yeasts. The Cmicrobien has varied from one soil to another depending on the physicochemical characteristics of the soil (moisture content, salinity, etc.), and also significant variations for biochemical factors (nutritional and energy concerning organic matter).
