Abstract: Dates product is one of the most important products that can contribute to the developing of exports outside the oil, considering that Algeria is considered one of the most important producing countries of Dates in terms of quantity and quality. This study attempts to identify the competitive situation of Algeria's Dates in the worldwide markets compared to the most important exporting countries of Dates. we using several indicators for measuring the Dates competitiveness, and also identify the most important determinants of external demand for Algeria's Dates, with a focus mainly on the French market.
