Abstract: The current study reveals the levels of self-efficacy, professional competencies, differences and relationships between the primary teachers in Tamanrasset, The study tools were applied are the self-efficacy measure of Ralph Schwarzer in 1989 and the construction of a scale of professional competencies. After ascertaining their psychometric characteristics, the study was applied to intentionalsample of 60 teachers in the primary education stage and by adopting the descriptive method, using the SPSS program, 22 hypotheses resulted in the following consequences: A high level of self-efficacy was estimated at 81,25%, as well as the professional competencies was estimated at 63,70%. There are no statistically significant differences in self-efficacy and professional competencies by sex, age, professional experience and social status. There is no significant relationship between self-efficacy and professional competencies among the study sample. The results were discussed in the light of literature and the study context.
