Abstract: The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between the body image and the resilience of old persons living in the homes of old person in Oran and Batna. The study focused on the following questions -Is there a relationship between the image of the body and the resilience of old person living in the homes of the old person? ? -Are there significant differences in body image due to gender variable -Are there statistically significant differences in resilience due to gender variable? The sample of the study was in old persons residing in the states of Oran, and Batna, which were chosen in the simple random way, and based on the descriptive approach that fits the nature of the subject. The data collection tools were: Samia Mohammed and HER prepared by Brenet, Boudrias, Savoie et Desrumaux (2008) and translated by Taous Wazi and Salima Hamouda (2018) (University of Kasdi Merbah-Ouargla). The results of the study indicated : -There is a correlation between the image of the body and resilience -There are no statistically significant differences in the body image and resilienc of the old person residing in the nursing homes according to the gender variable.
