dc.description.abstractThis article aims to present the model of the durations of intermediate variables of fertility and its application to the data of the Algerian National Fertility Survey 1986, explaining its content, its method and its validity to estimate the effects of the different variables of fertility. We will then compare urban and rural areas, highlighting the role and weight of marriage, the use of contraception, breastfeeding, ... the intervals between births, in the fertility model for each environment.en_US
