Les institutions d’accueil de la petite enfance dans la loi Algérienne : Quelle protection pour l’enfant

Abstract

Children care is the responsibility of the parents, but in the light of the father’s and mother’s departure to work they are forced to deposit their children with the competent institutions in the care of children under five, the preparatory education age that enables them to enroll at school. Owing to the serious role played by these institutions, the Algerian legislator established its legal framework in 1992 but reorganized it in accordance with Executive Decree 08-287 of 17/09/2008 setting the conditions for the establishment, organization, operation and control of small children's institutions and centers. This decree includes the conditions of the establishment of these institutions, their function, their management and their control.
