Abstract: The current study aimed to reveal the reality of practice of elementary school teachers in the city of Ouargla on basic skills in classroom management. The total sample was (179) teachers and that in light of professional expertise and qualification type variables. In order to achieve this objective in the field of identification was built (20) items distributed to (4) dimensions. The researchers used the descriptive analytical method, using the following statistical methods - arithmetic averages and percentages, T.test, One way ANOVA, and Scheffe test for dimensional comparisons. After the analysis and quantitative and qualitative treatment of the results of the study, the level of practice of elementary school teachers in the city of Ouargla for the basic skills of the classroom management was high, exceeding the level of proficiency estimated at 75 % of the total score of the questionnaire as follows 1- Planning (89,66 %), 2- ask questions (87,33 %), 3- problem solving (87 %), 4- classroom interactions (85,33 %). - There were no statistically significant differences due to the variable of the type of academic qualification, while there were significant differences due to variable years of professional experience. The study concluded with a number of suggestions that could contribute to improving these skills forteachers
