This study aims to demonstrate how Algerian companies are caught in learning traps, caused precisely by the extent of their financial performance. In this research, the concept learning is taken up by the empirical variable “dynamic capabilities”. Dynamic capabilities reflect a company’s ability to gain a competitive advantage in new and innovative way. Based on study of sample companies in Bejaia area, the results revealed that learning traps and dynamic capabilities were negatively related. On the hand, the results showed that investment in research and development and in marketing had a positive and significant effect on the development of companies’ dynamic capabilities.en_US
