Psychological & Educational Studies Reviewen_US
The aim of this study is to identify the training needs of construction workers in occupational safety. To achieve this, the most common hazards were identified(slips, trips, falls and collapse, scaffolds, ladders, loads’ manual handling, chemical, electrical, fire and emergency, hand tools and machinery, vehicles’ movement in the construction area, failure to use proper personal protective equipment), then a sample of pictures reflecting these risks were selected, and presented to 20 construction workers in Oum el Bouaghi to determine their perception of these risks as well as their awareness of the necessary precautions to deal with them. The results showed that workers need training to increase their perception and awareness of the presented risks, as 44.4% of them have a simple perception, 19.2% have no perception of those risks, 49.6% have low awareness, and 21.4% have no awareness about how to deal with those risks.en_US
