Abstract: This research deals with the phenomenon of depriving women of inheritance which still impose its presence in Algerian society so far,as this deprivation is a legacy of ignorance, where people are not the Jews wrote our ignorance of women and boys, Islam came the demolition, but the norms and customs of the resurrected again as a second valley women. We have tried to explain this phenomenon by searching for the reasons why women are deprived of this right to the project. Most importantly, we have reached in this study that depriving women of inheritance is an extension of the male domination is reflected in the preference for the girl child, which is one of the characteristics of the traditional societies, they consider that the boy is carrying the family name, to ensure their continuity, so he got the luckiest part of inheritance so he can ensure the parental controls and their dependents during old age, and that depriving women of inheritance caused by the socialization of girls stemming.
