Abstract: Actually the phyto-allergic phenomenon has taken a worrying pace in the Setifian High Plains. Due mainly to many allergy pollen ornamentals that negatively affect the air quality and life of the inhabitants. Seasonal allergy is dominant, the prevalence of allergic rhinitis has increased significantly with a rate of 58% representing the active population between 21 and 35 years. The floristic inventory carried out incriminates the pollination of Cupressus sempervirens L., Fraxinus excelsior L. Populus alba L., Populus nigra L., Salix alba L., Salix babylonica L., these allergenic species constitute the ornamental plants by excellence in the town of Setif. These findings require the development of new avenues for reflection and health and environmental protection strategies with the collaboration of territorial authorities for the development of a list of ornamental plants without health risks and a pollen calendar for the high plains of Sétifiennes and and for all the Algerian regions.
