This study based on the characterization of the rhizospheric microbial biomass near date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) on the farm of the university of Ouargla. Soil samples were taken from 4 profils of a 1m three horizon. The counting of the main microbial groups reveals that the rhizospheric effect is clearly positive since the densities obtained at the level of the root soil of the date palm are higher than those of the control. The study also showed the predominance of bacterial microflora followed by fungi. Microscopic observation showed the presence of rapidly growing gram negative bacteria in soil samples in contact with roots. Identification of the fungal species according to the identification keys allowed us to identify the
Muccor sp Penicillium Sp Trichoderma viride
