La présente étude porte sur la diversité des Formicidae de la région de Touggourt (33° 7’ N. ; 6° 4’ E.) qui appartient à l’étage bioclimatique Saharien à hiver doux, cette étude effectuée dans trois palmeraies différentes (la palmeraie de Sidi Mahdi (S1), la palmeraie de Témacine (S2) et la palmeraie de Baldet Omar(S3), durant la période allant juin 2018 jusqu’à Avril 2019. Suite à l’utilisation de deux méthodes d’échantillonnages (pots Barber, pièges jaunes). Cette étude a permit de recenser 12 espèces appartenant à 3 sous famille: Myrmicinae (S = 7 espèces), Formicinae (S = 4 Les richesses totales et les effectifs les plus importants sont notées pour la espèces) et Dolichoderinae (S = 1 espèce). méthode des pots Barber (S = 12 espèces; N = 2560 individus). Cataglyphis bicolor est l'espèce la plus capturée par les deux méthodes, les pots Barber (AR% = 65,84) et les pièges jaunes (AR% = 52,82), la palmeraie la plus diversifiée est la palmeraie de Sidi Mahdi.
