dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study was to identify the role of sports activity in both physical and recreational areas in achieving psychological and social compatibility for the special needs group (deaf.dumb). The study was conducted on a target sample of 25 educators from the Pedagogic Center. Distribution of questionnaire forms to sample members, and the percentage (%) and the chi2 test were used as statistical means to analyze the results of the study. In the end, the results of the study revealed the validity of the proposed hypotheses and revealed the real role and positive reflection of the physical and recreational sports activity in achieving the psychological and social compatibility of this particular group of society. Therefore, the researcher recommended that more attention be paid to physical and recreational sports activity and the allocation of sufficient time for sport. This special and sensitive class of society, as well as the establishment of sports competitions between deaf and dumb and other groups with special needs to develop the social side in these categories.en_US
