Abstract

The paper discusses the theoretical and legal framework of the responsibility of the media institution in disseminating the reply and correcting the media news in accordance with Algerian legislation and international law, by addressing the objective rules and procedures followed in this regard.The research aims to shed light on the right of reply and the right of requesting correction under the Algerian media law of 2012, and in international law and their procedures and implications, especially at a time when the media spread at the national and international level significantly, and became news The media is tainted by the error and inaccuracy of information in some cases, and offends some people sometimes others.

This researchhas reached the following conclusions: The absence of an explicit text stipulating the legal period within which the injured person can apply for correction in contrast to what he did with respect to the right of reply. In order to obtain a ruling requiring the media to publish a response and correction, or for the signing of civil and criminal responsibility?, and in international law we found a lack of international conventions governing this.
