dc.description.abstract | Malek Chebel is considered to be a modern thinker because his reformist project addressed the sacred text from a modern point of view (a modernity, which he believes really exists in the quran). His experience in the field of translation has allowed him to discover this modernity existing in the Koran while knowing that the translator has a painful task because it is supposed to transmit not only a language but a whole culture. This prompted Malek Chebel to find other alternatives to better understand Islam, which makes us say he was for an enlightened Islam. | en_US |
