The goal of our work is the manufacture of an aquaponic system (NFT), then see the effect of this system on the water quality and growth rate of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) for 10 weeks. This application is performed to determine the difference between the quality of rearing water in this aquaponics system (NFT) and in the control basin and the effect this quality has on the growth of fish. For the first step, we monitored the nutrients (ammonium, nitrite and nitrates) of the water in the basin of this system, these are at the beginning: NH4 + ± 1 (mg / l); NO2 ± 5 (mg / l); NO3- ± 25 (mg / l), which gives us at the end: NH4 + ± 0.25 (mg / l), NO2- ± 0.25 (mg / l), NO3- ± 125 (mg / l), this decrease of ammonium, nitrite and nitrite increase through the activity of nitrifying bacteria that have proliferated in the system. Overall this is the goal of this step. For the 2nd step, we made the step of our study to see the different impacts of this system on the quality of water in comparison with a control basin, one observes at the end of this stage: NH4 + ± 0.25 (mg / l); NO2- ± 0 (mg / l); NO3- ± 50 (mg / l). The monitoring of the biological parameters of African catfish and blonde lettuce BATAVIA (paris) obtained an increase in growth as a function of time
