Abstract: The textbook is considered as an effective tool for educating generations to otherness, openness and the desire to know each other, a window towards interculturality. Through this article, we seek to ascertain whether the French textbook of the 3S supports the cultural parameters without which, let us remember, it would be vain and counterproductive to think a foreign language teaching. For this we have used a comparative analytical method between a few texts and iconographic representations taken from the French textbooks of the third year and others taken from the English textbook of the same year.
