Abstract: The city of Metlili existe in the South of Alegria, It is a région of the state of Ghardaïa, know as an forestiers et agricultural zone. The water supply of the population depends mainly on the groundwater resources of the intermediate continental layer. The pollution of aquifer and the recent development of irrigation and agriculture in the region has led to the increasing use of intercalary continental water. The hydrogeology of Metlili characterized, by two layers, the aquifer (Turonian) at 40 m and the continental aquifer (Albien) at 280 m. The hydrochemical characteristics of the study area shows sulfated calcium and magnesian water, the mineralization of the waters are average, these waters are mild favorable to agriculture. The consumption is high in the last years lead to fall of the pressureof the water table in some drilling.
