Abstract: Hydraulic fracturing is a technique for the cracking of low porous rocks by injecting a high pressure fluid. It is used to extract unconventional hydrocarbons such as tight gas trapped in low permeability rocks. The hydraulic fracturing operation is based on a good study of geomechanics.
