Abstract: Drilling fluids are used to balance formation pressures during drilling to ensure well stability and to evacuate cuttings with minimal damage. The stability of reverse emulsion as an oil-based drilling fluid depends on the use of emulsifiers. These emulsifiers can cause an alteration in wettability accompanied by an increase in the Water Cut then the water bypass. This damage causes a significant loss of production, which can even lead to the closure of wells. The objective of this project is to propose a device adapted to the Amott method to study the wettability of reservoir rocks. This system is based on the use of cuttings for drilling reservoirs, reconstituted rock or sand. The results obtained in a very short period of time using this new device are similar to those obtained by conventional methods. The constraints on oil production losses caused by wettability alteration will have an undesirable and direct impact on Flow Assurances and reservoir operating costs.
