dc.description.abstractThe study of PVT properties of reservoir fluid is essential for the development of its production and exploitation. The laboratory is considered the primary source of data for these properties as it is also possible to compute these data using tests and empirical correlations with variable error margins. Accurate laboratory studies of PVT behavior and phase equilibrium of reservoir fluids are needed to characterize these fluids and evaluate their volumetric performance at different pressure levels. There are many laboratory tests that can be performed on a reservoir fluid sample. The amount of data desired determines the number of tests performed in the laboratory. In this study, we present the procedures for all tests performed on a sample in a PVT laboratory and interpret the data obtained from these tests.en_US
